Several young children are recovering after a car accident over the weekend.
Investigators say an 18 wheeler was switching lanes when it hit an Oldsmobile on Interstate 12 Friday night. The car hit a guardrail.
A four-month-old was ejected from the vehicle and six children in all, ranging from 10 years to four months had to be taken to the hospital. The infant who was ejected has a broken leg. The other children suffered only scrapes and bruises.
Police issued a citation to the driver of the 18 wheeler for careless operation.
