Wendy Fritz and her daughter Margeaux are trying something different from Jamba Juice, a smoothie called the White Gummy Bear. Just don't look for it on the menu. "I've heard about it but I've never like ordered it because it's not like on the menu and so I'm like what if it's not really there, that would be awkward," says Margeaux Fritz.
Lots of fast food places offer things that aren't on the menu, you just have to know how to ask for them. "Kinda sneaky, you know?" says Alex Grace of Dallas.
Mcdonald's will sell you a neopolitan milkshake. Wendy's will hit you with a grand slam, four patties stacked on a bun.
"I've known different restaurants that do that, where you have to know about a certain thing that's on the menu, so yeah, I might ask, 'What do you have that's not on the menu,'" says Jackie Grace of Dallas. Chipotle will put together nearly anything you can imagine if they have the ingredients.
From quesadillas to nachos. "Maybe nachos. That would be good at Chipotle. A little bit more variety," says Wendy Fritz of Dallas. Even Starbucks has a secret menu item. If a tall coffee is still too big, try ordering the short size instead. Alex Grace says she would try it. "One of those days where you have a couple of cups of coffee in the morning and you don't want to overdo it on the coffee. I would definitely get a short cup of coffee."
