Crisis lines have noticed more reports of domestic violence, since the economy has take a turn for the worst.
Officials at the battered women's program have seen a 20 percent increase in calls. More women and children are needing help than ever before.
Officials say job loss and financial problems add stress to relationship, and often times women won't get out of these abusive situations because they feel trapped.
