The Salvation Army is known for giving a helping hand to those who need it the most. But, the recent economic woes have meant fewer donations.
Nationwide, a spokesman for the program says that means a lack of resources, leaving them to pray that a hurricane doesn't hit the United States this year. If a storm would hit our area, officials say, while people could see cuts to other services like cleaning supplies or grants, they still plan to have plenty of food to serve hot meals to those who need them.
