Operation Lifesaver tackles rail safety

Union Pacific and Operation Lifesaver are teaming up all this week to help make trains a little safer. Community leaders and lawmakers spent the day touring the tracks on the safety train, getting a look at the number of drivers who don't obey rail laws.

In 2008, fifteen Louisiana drivers were killed crossing the tracks at the wrong time. The safety train stops in cities where collisions at crossing zones have been a problem.
