BATON ROUGE,LA(NBC33) — For shoppers like Kenneth Marshall it's now or never.
"It's crunch time. I like crunch time," says shopper Kenneth Marshall.
With only a couple of days left until December 25, he's still barely made a dent on his Christmas list.
"Usually we wait until the last minute," says Marshall.
To make things more complicated, he's still not positive who's getting what.
"Probably some want-nots for my parents, tools, little stuff like that. Dad always likes tools, can't get him enough and probably a couple of ties for those you don't see that often, so you have something with you that you can just say hey I got a tie for you," says Marshall.
According to the National Retail Federation almost one in five people hasn't even started their Christmas shopping yet. Maybe it's because you just don't know what to get.
"There's no telling with teenagers, who knows," says shopper Myra Cashio.
Or maybe it's because they don't need anything else.
"Because they mostly have everything," says Cashio.
Whatever the reason, shoppers like Marshall and Cashio are still looking for that great deal on that perfect gift and though it's a mad rush for millions all over the country today, there is good news.
"It'll be overwith. Everybody gets their gifts and mama's happy," says Cashio
