NBC NEWS — A South Carolina-based food store is buying the Winn Dixie supermarket chain.
Bi-Lo is buying the almost 700 stores for about $560 million.
Winn Dixie has 51 stores in the state, including nine in Baton Rouge.
Bi-Lo says they're not planning any stores to close because of the merger. No word on any of the 63,000 employees hired by Winn Dixie yet.
