Baby seal goes couch surfing in New Zealand home

NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A baby seal got a little lost Sunday night and ended up literally crashing on the couch of a New Zealand home.

The homeowner found the baby fur seal resting on the sofa. Wildlife officers say the seal managed to walk across a busy road, wander across a garden and enter the home through a cat flap on a door.

The seal then climbed up a set of stairs, entered the kitchen and made its way to the living room.

The seal was caught and eventually released back into the wild.
