BATON ROUGE,LA (NBC33) — Mothers against drunk driving honored those who have lost their lives to drunk drivers.
Members of MADD joined with the Louisiana State Police to honor these victims. They were honored with ornaments with their pictures on them that hung from a Christman tree. Delores Waldrop lost her daughter to a drunk driver five years ago. She has a message for all those who are thinking about drinking and getting behind the wheel,"I know it''s the holidays. I know in south Louisiana we're party people. Do it at home. Get somebody else to drive. Don't make another parent go through what he have to go through."
Last year more than 300 Louisianans were killed in alcohol-related crashes.
