BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: An autopsy today showed TERRY GRIGSBY, the victim in the case described below, died from a heart attack. The investigation is continuing but based upon the cause of death foul play is no longer suspected.
ORIGINAL STORY: An autopsy is set for today after a body is found in a driveway on Cammy Street.
Police are trying to find out how 37 year-old Terry Grisby Jr. was killed.
Witnesses told police they saw a lot of yelling, and saw a car drive off. Police suspect Grisby was hit on the head - they found a metal pole not too far away from his body.
His death has shaken up this normally quiet neighborhood.
L’Jean McKneely with BRPD said, “It’s a very quiet neighborhood, (and) that's why we have a lot of neighbors that came out - they actually want to know what's going on because they're not accustomed to these kinds of events happening here.”
“This is a very depressing,” stated Benny Ray Johnson, the victim’s uncle. “But I believe, in the midst of everything, I’ll trust this in the Lord, and God will help us get through this in a very critical time right now.”
His girlfriend was held for questioning, but police have made no arrests.
