NBC News — An Israeli air strike on the Gaza Strip killed at least two Hamas militants and wounded two others thursday. Hundreds of Palestinians crowded around the charred remains of the car, which was hit in the early afternoon on a main street.
An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed that an air strike had been carried out. She said the two men killed in the incident had been planning an attack on Israeli civilians and soldiers along Israel's border with Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. Hamas has ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007.
