Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — LSU Board of Supervisors Chairman Benjamin Mount passed away over the weekend after a long fight with cancer.
Mount was appointed to the LSU Board of Supervisors in 2006 by Governor Kathleen Blanco.
In that six year period, mount set up the LSU System Flagship and Excellence Fund, which is designed to potentially funnel nearly $8 million into one-time funds to decrease the impact of cutbacks at LSU.
