A non-profit is doing their part to remember those who served our country.
Wreaths Across America is the extension of the Arlington Wreath Project.
So far, over 100,000 wreaths have been placed on graves of veterans.
Earlier today, a wreath was placed in the rotunda at the State Capitol. One member of the Daughters of the American Revolution says the wreaths hit close to home for her.
“My daddy served in World War II, so I think in a small way, I'm honoring him as well,” stated member Margaret Tyler.
Wreaths were placed in capitols and all across the country earlier today.
There will be a wreath laying ceremony this Saturday at the Baton Rouge National Cemetery downtown and the Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary.
