BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank has received a grant for $10,000 from ExxonMobil.
The grant is to help child hunger by funding a BackPack Program at Scotlandville Elementary. The program puts food directly into the hands of hungry children on the weekends and holidays, when the students are not in school.
Employees of ExxonMobil will help pack these backpacks on Friday, Dec. 2 and assist in the distribution during the school year.
If you wish to volunteer or would like more information, call Eric Swenson at (225)359-9940 ext. 212.
