This year’s Tree of Life will benefit the Ochsner Reach Out and Read program. Reach Out and Read is a national program promoting literacy in children. Through Reach Out and Read Ochsner pediatricians are able to give every pediatric patient, ages 6 months to 5 years, a new developmentally-appropriate book at their well visits. The goal is to foster an early love of reading in the children and to help develop early literacy skills so children enter school prepared for success.
