BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Companion Animal Alliance is also giving out great deals on Black Friday. Tomorrow the group will bring out some of its best black dogs and cats to the Mall of Louisiana.
It's all a part of their pet adoption program. For one day only these animals will be 50 percent off.
Debbie Pearson runs the CAA shelter and she says black animals have a harder time being adopted because their features are less distinguishable and there are superstitions about them.
"The animals are devoted pets they seem to realize they were rescued it's a recycled pet certified pre owned definitely a good addition to any family," Debbie Pearson, CCA representative, explained.
So if you're looking for a furry stocking stuffer for your family, CAA says you should remember to adopt, don't shop.
You can check out these animals tomorrow at the Mall of Louisiana from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
