Louisiana (NBC33) — The U.S. Department of Education says Louisiana is one of several states moving to the next round in the race to the top.
It's a process to share a part of $200 million to help education reform. The other states involved include Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The state's applications include commitments to enhance data systems, and raise academic standards.
