Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The LSU Football Team took time out of their schedules to help the less fortunate during the holidays.
Seven players helped unload some of the more than 400 turkeys the Baton Rouge Food Bank will deliver during the holidays. The players say it feels great to help out those who need it the most.
"It feels good. Those in our function need to do what they can,” stated player Ryan Baker. “So we want to come out and show as much love as possible."
Albertsons donated one turkey to the food bank for each point the football team has scored this year. So far, the football has racked up 417 points.
