President Obama called out Republicans today for their efforts to block the American Jobs Act.
The president addressed high schoolers in New Hampshire telling them Republicans in Congress only want to play political games not take action.
The president laid out the elements in the American Jobs Act and asked the crowd for its support.
He said the jobs act will put more Americans to work and put more money into the pockets of the people.
Obama stated, "This is a place where your hard work and your responsibility is supposed to pay off. It's supposed to be a big compassionate country where everybody who works hard should have a chance to get ahead. Not just the person who owns the factory, but the men and women who work on the factory floor."
Next week, Congress will vote on whether to extend a payroll tax cut that expires at the end of the month. Obama has challenged republicans to vote yes.
