PONCHATOULA, La — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that yesterday, Nov. 21, deputies responded to a shooting that happened at a home on South Hoover Road.
As a result of the investigation Ralph Wood, 79, of Ponchatoula was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and the Illegal Discharge of a Firearm.
These charges resulted after it was learned that Wood fired several shots at another subject. The suspect stated that while in an argument with the victim, he fired shots in the victim’s direction to make him stop bothering him.
Subsequently, WOOD was arrested and charged accordingly.
