Brusly, La (NBC33) — The New Orleans Saints may be on a bye this week but one Saints player got busy being a home town hero in West Baton Rouge Parish.
Port Allen native, Tracy Porter, number 22 for the Saints signed autographs and ate with fans as a way of giving back to those who may not get a Thanksgiving this year.
Fans received a Pre-Thanksgiving feast and fun with the football star at DC's grill in Brusly.
Porter says, on a bye week, there's no where else he'd rather be.
"I wanted the opportunity to give back to the community and help these families who are less fortunate people, can't really, you know, do things on their own, so I wanted to do my part, and what better way than giving them a home cooked meal?" said New Orleans Saints Cornerback, Tracy Porter
