BATON ROUGE, LA — City Police plan to close sections of Main and Laurel streets to traffic on Monday, Nov. 21, to film a chase scene for the television series “Breakout Kings.”
Between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday, police are scheduled to close Main and Laurel between North 13th Street and North 19th Street while the filming takes place. The suggested detour is Florida Street.
The TV show, which is produced by Fox and airs on A&E, is scheduled to continue filming in the Baton Rouge area through early 2012.
As part of the filming, Baton Rouge residents can expect a number of chase scenes like this one, stunts, and special effects in the months to come.
During their stay here in the Capital City, “Breakout Kings” will be based at Celtic Media Centre, where they will be using soundstages and offices.
The initial season of “Breakout Kings” was filmed in Toronto, but moved to Baton Rouge for its second season, making it the first episodic television series to relocate to the Baton Rouge market.
Recently NBC33's Kelsey Scram took an updated tour of the Celtic Media Center. She learned that the studio is now at full capacity. That's because more work than ever is coming to the area. Find out what's next for the Cajun Hollywood by clicking here .
