LABADIEVILLE, LA (NBC33) — Citizen complaints about a neighbor who they believed to be trafficking drugs put a Labadieville man behind bars yesterday.
Officials say a search warrant was issued for the home of Tommy Thompson, 26, who is a previously convicted felon. The warrant was issued after the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received several complaints from neighbors.
Deputies executed the search at the home on Willow Street on Thursday, Nov. 17 around 8:00 p.m. Inside the home they found marijuana, cocaine, a hand gun, and an assortment of drug paraphernalia.
Officials say that prior to the search agents confirmed the distribution of cocaine and surveillance verified the suspected drug trafficking.
Thompson was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Cocaine, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a firearm in the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
