BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: In West Baton Rouge Parish, the man accused of molesting a three year old is set free.A grand jury didn't find enough evidence to charge 28 year-old Nathan Roubique. State police charged him earlier this month after an investigation.
-- A Brusly man is now in custody with charges of aggravated rape.
Louisiana State Police Detectives concluded an investigation yesterday that resulted in the arrest of a Brusly man on charges of Aggravated Rape and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Troopers arrested Nathan Randall Roubique of Brusly and booked him into the West Baton Rouge Detention Center.
Troopers’ investigation revealed that Roubique had sexually molested a 3-year-old child. Troopers interviewed Roubique yesterday afternoon at Louisiana State Police Headquarters and then transported him to the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center and booked him on the charges listed above. Troopers had a warrant for Roubique’s arrest signed in the 18th Judicial District Court.
If found guilty of indecent behavior with a juvenile, Roubique faces up to twenty-five years in prison at hard labor and a fine up to five thousand dollars. If found guilty of aggravated rape Roubique may face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
