NBC News — Greece has a new Prime Minister. Former Vice President of the European Central Bank Lucas Papademos was appointed as Prime Minister after days of talks on forming a coalition government.
The 64 year old senior banker will lead a coalition expected to operate until elections are held in February. The government, backed by the ruling socialists and opposition conservatives, will try to approve a new bailout deal. Papademos replaces outgoing Prime Minister George Papandreou.
