Obama's health care law deemed constitutional

NBC NEWS — A U.S. appeals court ruled the president's health care law is constitutional.

In a 2-1 split opinion, the court agreed to dismiss a lawsuit by a conservative group claiming the requirement for all Americans to purchase health insurance is unconstitutional.

The issue has been the subject of several lawsuits across the country. The Louisiana Attorney General joined in the suit challenging the law.

The U.S. Supreme Court hears a case on the administration's health care plan this week.
