Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The price of gas is slipping, while the cost of diesel is on the rise according to the latest Lundberg Survey.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is now $3.43, which is down about four cents over the past two weeks.
Diesel, on the other hand, is up four cents to $3.93.
Of the cities surveyed, Albuquerque has the nation's lowest price for gas $3.06, while Los Angeles had the highest at $3.83.
In Baton Rouge, average retail gasoline prices have fallen 3.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.22 per gallon yesterday according to gasoline price website BatonRougeGasPrices.com .
Including the change in gas prices in Baton Rouge during the past week, prices yesterday were 55.7 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 2.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
The national average has not moved during the last month and stands 57.3 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
