PORT ALLEN, La (NBC33) — Tiger nation will take over Tuscaloosa this weekend, and fans are already gearing up for the trip. Dean Hotard says there are only a few things he'll need for the showdown; a big sheet and a some purple and gold spray paint.
Tiger fans call Hotard the sign man, and since 2006, he's been a staple in Tiger Stadium. He spray paints a new sheet for every game, and fans like it so much they write, call, and text in what they want to see on next week's sign.
This week, Hotard has something special planned for Alabama coach, Nick Saban.
"I stayed up late doing our posters last night, and doing our little creations," Hotard says. "When I'm lying awake wondering what to draw for Little Nicky, I've got to believe he's laying awake worrying about Les Miles and the LSU fighting Tigers."
Hotard says this year's team is the best he's ever seen, and tickets or not, he's going to be Alabama, cheering them to victory.
