Rising water from the Mississippi River has caused problems for Pointe Coupee Parish farmers.
Water has been pushed into the Forebay area of the Morganza Spillway. The water is threatening 5,000 acres of farmland.
That means farmers won't be able to plant millions of dollars worth of soybeans and cotton.
This is the second year crops have been destroyed in Pointe Coupee Parish.
