Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Daycare workers thought to be involved in the tragic death of a Baton Rouge toddler were back in court this morning.
Kyandrea Thomas and Michelle Veals say they will plead guilty to charges of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile in the case in the death of three year-old D'myion McElveen.
The girl died back in 2009, after she was left inside the van transporting children to-and-from Wanda's Kids World.
She was found dead inside the van later that afternoon, after being trapped in the heat all day.
Thomas and Veals were originally indicted for negligent homicide, along with the daycare's owner, Wanda Connor.
