BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The St. George Fire Department has gone pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The pink tees are part of their second annual "Care Enough to Wear Pink" campaign. The firefighters are selling the shirts, and all proceeds will go to Woman's Hospital, and the Fight To Find A Cure.
Last year they raised $8,000 last year and say they’re already very close to exceeding that goal.
"We’re predicting to be well over that since we are about a week ahead of schedule,” Frank Dellucky, a firefighter with the St. George Fire Department, said. “It's a good cause."
The shirts sell for $15. You can buy one by calling (225) 454-6550, or you can just drop by the St. George office located at 14141 Airline Highway.
