NBC NEWS — Student athletes could get more money if a change to NCAA policy becomes reality.
NCAA President Mark Emmert told the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics, which acts as a watchdog commission, about the proposal today.
Emmert said he would like conferences to increase grants to student athletes by $2,000. He thinks it would help to cover the full cost of going to college.
The NCAA should get the final proposal this week.
