LOUISIANA (NBC33) — EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH - Flu shots are available for Tigers on campus. The campaign is called flu shots on the geaux. It’s happening all week. Students, faculty, and staff can get flu shots at a list of places on campus. They include the student union and the student health center. They're free for full time students who paid the health center fee. It costs $10 for part time students, and $20 for faculty, staff, retirees, and non-student spouses.
ASCENSION PARISH - Cub scouts present a flag to Parish President Tommy Martinez. It'll be flown at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center's ceremonial flag pole. The scouts are part of 400 who were at the 2011 Cub Scout Adventure Family camp. The district of scouts includes Ascension, Iberville, and St James Parishes.
TANGIPAHOA PARISH - The sheriff's office says the man hunt for 36-year-old Kahunda Magee is still underway, but has been taken over by the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office. Investigators say Magee made his way back into Washington Parish over the weekend. That's where they're still looking into all possible leads. Magee is wanted on a string of outstanding warrants including aggravated kidnapping, rape, and four counts of attempted murder on a police officer.
CADDO PARISH - Two students at a Shreveport High School have been infected with Tuberculosis. Letters were sent to parents informing them of the cases yesterday. The two students are not considered contagious or able to transmit TB to anyone. Last week, 182 people were tested for exposure to the bacterial infection after a classmate was found to be infected.
