BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge man was arrested early, Sunday morning for DWI.
Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that at approximately 3:50 a.m. deputies arrested Adam B. Onnebane, 20.
Deputy Sean Riley observed a white Ford Ranger traveling east bound on Interstate 12 near the I-55 interchange, swerving from side to side and crossing the center line of traffic. At one point, the vehicle crossed two lanes of traffic to exit the interstate nearly striking Deputy Rilley’s unit.
Deputy Rilley initiated the traffic stop and identified the driver as Onnebane. Onnebane was stumbling and laughing as he made his way to the rear of his vehicle. The Deputy could detect a strong odor of alcoholic emanating from him as he spoke. At this time, Rilley detained Onnebane and performed a field sobriety check. Upon completion, Onnebane was arrested and transported to the parish jail where he provided a breath sample.
Adam Onnebane tested over the limit for alcohol consumption and cheered openly regarding his results. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
