Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Saturday students from Southern University got to work to build houses for Habitat for Humanity.
While other students were stitting on the couch, watching football, these students were framing, hammering, and building houses with Habitat for Humanity.
Demetria Woods was one of the students that came out Saturday, and she says it's great to actually see her work make a difference.
"It's a good way to get involved and get community service hours of course, but it's another way instead of working with people, you're actually working to help people, you're building a house for them." Southern Student, Demetria Woods, said.
