BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The local band Cardinal Collide will perform this Saturday at Baton Rouge’s largest fundraiser event. Teams will compete to see how far they can pull a jet, and all the money will go to benefit the ARC of Baton Rouge.
Before the band performs, 20 teams will attempt to move a 727 Fed-Ex plane. That’s happening at the Baton Rouge Airport from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Awards will be given out to the team that makes the biggest move, but the real winners are the adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities who receive help from the ARC.
The members of Cardinal Collide, which include James Wells (vocals, keys), Justin Snyder (bass), Derek McGehee (guitar) and David Lambert (drums) are all looking forward to the big day. They’ll perform some of their original music for the crowd.
Cardinal Collide formed two years ago, and all of the members are from the Baton Rouge area.
