Ballroom With a Twist

(Baton Rouge, LA)– An ensemble of lithe dancers will waltz onto the LSU Union Theater stage, Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:30PM featuring former DWTS professional dancers Edyta Silwinska and Alic Mazo. The dancers’ Broadway-styled dance numbers vividly illustrate “Ballroom With a Twist,” the national tour spin-off of the televised dance competition Dancing With the Stars. This extravagant evening of entertainment features Dancing With the Stars professional dancers, American Idol finalists, and incredible performers from So You Think You Can Dance. Even though there is no competition, celebrated previous competitors demonstrate how to push the boundaries of ballroom dance, while infusing it with energy and intensity, stunning costumes, magnificent music, and breathtaking performances. “Ballroom With a Twist” is a brilliant new dance production conceived and choreographed by Dancing With the Stars own, Emmy nominated Louis van Amstel.
