BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — Capital Area United Way is throwing a street party you won’t want to miss! United Way’s 24th Annual Jambalaya Jam, sponsored by DOW Chemical Company, is hitting the streets this Thursday, October 6th, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Guests are invited to enjoy cold drinks and live entertainment, while sampling some of South Louisiana's best jambalaya from 45 competing teams.
Capital Area United Way’s 24th Annual Jambalaya Jam will host 45 teams competing for the top cooking title and live music by The Michael Foster Project, Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue, The Elements, and The Stage Coach Bandits.
It will take place on 3rd and Lafayette Streets in between Convention and North Boulevard.
This is United Way’s largest fundraising event of the year and is a huge tradition amongst the community.
