Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — It won't be long before riverboats start to make their way in and out of Baton Rouge again.
Several different river boats are making their return after being gone since 2008.
President of the Baton Rouge Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau Paul Arrigo says the comeback is a win for Baton Rouge because tourists visit the Capitol City, spend money, and spread the word about Baton Rouge when they leave.
“It brings us back into the top tier of river cities,” said Arrigo. “The fact that we're going to have a riverboat on a regular basis stopping here, I think it certainly makes Baton Rouge even more of an attractive destination.”
The riverboats will start pulling into Baton Rouge in the spring of next year.
