BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — For Universities, admission season means touring season. College representatives hop from state to state for meet and greets with potential students. In Baton Rouge Tuesday those students turned out in the thousands.
Many students at the fair tell NBC33 this event is the only way to find out all of their options. The National Association of College Admission Counselors started the fair six years ago for that reason - to bring students and schools together and make the decision of where to go and how to get there, easier.
Tuesday, over 100 universities set up booths in the River Center from far away as Hawaii.
The fair is open again Tuesday night, from 6pm to 8pm.
