BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A new mobile app hopes to encourage a smarter way for tourists and natives alike to navigate Baton Rouge.
Called Layar, the app was built by the Baton Rouge area Visitors and Convention Bureau. Users can access information on nearby attractions, restaurants, shopping events and accommodations by holding their phone camera at street view.
“These are exciting times at Visit Baton Rouge. We are proud to introduce this cutting edge mobile technology to provide visitors and locals with a richer Baton Rouge experience,” said Renée Areng, Executive Vice-Presidents of Sales and Marketing at Visit Baton Rouge.
The location-based app uses real-time digital information to pin point the things you might be interested in. The app is free to download.
