STORMTRACKER33 — The National Hurricane Center continues to issues advisories on Tropical Storm Ophelia, located about 385 miles east of the Leeward Islands. The storm is still forecasted not to be a threat to the US.
Newly formed Tropical Storm Philippe located about 249 miles south of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands is moving W-NW and the forecast track turns the system quickly to the North and threatening no land areas.
An elongated Low Pressure system has developed just North of the Bahamas, or about 175 miles East-Southeast of Cape Canaveral Florida. Surface observations along with satellite and radar data indicates the system is becoming better organized. Slow development is possible the next day or two. The system is moving 10-15mph to the North. There is a medium chance for development, 20%.
