NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A six-foot tall fiberglass rooster is back on his perch in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood.
The 70-lb sculpture was stolen from the sidewalk in front of El Pub restaurant last weekend.
Pablo Canton, the statue's owner and director of the Little Havana Neighborhood Enhancement Team, says the rooster was taken by a group of college pranksters.
It was partially painted while in their possession and used as a prop for several photos.
He agreed to keep their identities secret in exchange for the statue's return, repair to the paint and a pledge of community service.
