Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The Exxon-Mobile chemical plant on Scenic Highway jsut installed a new 225-ton tower as part of a new $150 million turn-around project slated to be finished by the end of the year.
That means jobs, right here, right now.
"That's a huge boost to the Baton Rouge Economy,” Paul Stratford, Exxon representative, said at a press conference. “We do this though, to really improve the long-term viability of our business here in Baton Rouge."
1600 contractors will work on that new tower, earning an estimated $80,000 in local payroll.
