BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — On Saturday, Sept. 10, two people were arrested with burglary charges.
The Tangipahoa Sheriffs Office was notified of a burglary in Amite. When deputies and the Burglary Task Force were investigating, they noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a near by residence. After investigation, they learned the vehicle was registered to a subject with numerous outstanding warrants for theft and burglary.
All agencies were notified of this information. Within 30 minutes, the vehicle was located which was occupied by Krystal Hill (of Folsom), Darnelle Leblanc (of Folsom) and seven juveniles. During the course of the investigation, the female subjects confessed committing the Amite burglary.
Numerous check books (taken in the burglary) were located inside the vehicle. Investigators determined that several items which were taken during the theft were sold for scrap at a location on Hwy. 16 in Amite. It was also discovered several checks were written to local businesses.
Leblanc was arrested and charged with Burglary, Felony Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a minor.
Hill was arrested and charged with Burglary, Felony Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Contributing to the Delinquency of a minor, 5 counts FTA, and Fugitive from LPSO.
Additional charged may be forthcoming.
