BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — It is the most common form of cancer in the U.S. and Wednesday, you'll have a chance to be screened for skin cancer for free.
The screening part of the Skin Cancer Foundation's ‘Road to Healthy Skin’ tour and their screening RV is making a stop at the Rite Ad on Staring Lane Wednesday afternoon.
Inside the RV, local dermatologists will screen patients for skin cancer.
It starts at 11:00 am and runs until 12:30pm. We’re told the screening space fills up quickly, so the tour recommends you get there early.
Since hitting the road four years ago, the tour has discovered 37,000 potential skin cancers including some 200 potentially deadly cases of melanoma.
