NBC News — Sudanese government troops and groups allied to South Sudan continue to skirmish along their tense border. Fighting broke out in Sudan's Blue Nile state last week, since then more than 20 people have been killed.
According to the United Nations the fighting has also displaced some 20,000 people. Sudan's government blames the fighting on South Sudan rebels. Officials have reached out to the rebels, offering to hold peace talks in Ethiopia.
