Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The heavy rain in parts of the state also impacting rivers and creeks across the state.
This creek behind the Hyatt hotel on Bluebonnet is usually pretty shallow.
You can see today's rain in the area keeps it rising.
The staff at the nearby Hyatt tell NBC33 news all the water can make it to their parking lot.
They said it can make things dangerous for their business, and their hotel guests.
"This is probably the highest I've ver seen it in a long time, and then they're predicting in the next three days it's supposed to continue raining so it's supposed to get higher and possibly where we're standing right now will be flooded, that's gonna be a sight to see" - Jay Melilli, a Hyatt Employee, said.
