ASCENSION PARISH, La (NBC33) — A well-known public servant in Ascension Parish is retiring.
Shirley Michel has been helping low-income Ascension Parish residents for thirty years in the parish’s health department.
Ascension Parish officials say Michel has been a tireless advocate for Ascension Parish's poorest citizens.
NBC33 wishes her the best, as she begins her retirement.
