BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: Chief White of the Baton Rouge Police Department held a press conference at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26 to discuss the arrests of LSU football players Jordan Jefferson and Josh Johns. White said very little about the case. He said that due to the ongoing investigation, the Baton Rouge Police Department will have no further comment.
ORIGINAL STORY: Casey Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, told NBC33 News that Jefferson and Johns turned themselves in at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison during the morning on Friday, Aug. 26.
Jordan Jefferson and Josh Johns were booked for Second Degree Battery, which is a felony charge.

Earlier in the investigation the Baton Rouge Police Department said that simple battery charges were possible. That was taken off the table.
Two days ago Police took 49 pairs of tennis shoes from the apartment of Jordan Jefferson. According to sources, they were looking for a match from one of those shoes to an imprint left at the scene. They also took a DNA swab from Jordan Jefferson.
